Privacy Policy

Our zero-knowledge client-side processing model and data protection principles.

We don't do that. Your Fallout 76 assets belong to you.

Most web-based file tools upload your data to a remote server, process it, and make you download the result.

Local Processing First

When you drag a 2GB .ba2 archive into the F76.WORLD toolkit, the file never leaves your computer. Our entire parsing engine—from the BA2 directory mapping to the NIF header decoding—runs locally in your browser using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly.

We do not have access to the files you analyze. We do not store your extracted DX10 textures. If you disconnect your computer from the internet after loading the site, the extraction tools will still work perfectly.

Identity and Cryptography

If you choose to authenticate with F76.WORLD, we rely on Nostr relay cryptography rather than traditional email/password databases.

  • No Passwords: You sign in using your Nostr public key (npub). We never see your private key.
  • No Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics trackers (like Google Analytics) or advertising pixels.
  • Session Data: We store local session preferences (like your UI language choice) in your browser's localStorage. We do not drop cross-site tracking cookies.

We built this site for reverse-engineers and modders. We respect your data because we demand the same respect for our own.

Sub-processors & Data Processing (DPA)

In order to provide our services securely, F76.WORLD relies on specific third-party subprocessors. In accordance with GDPR and relevant data protection laws, we have entered into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with these entities:

Cloudflare, Inc.

Cloudflare, Inc. - We use Cloudflare for DNS routing, DDoS protection, CDN, and Turnstile (bot mitigation). Cloudflare acts as a subprocessor for network transit data.

No personal identifying data (such as emails or passwords) is shared with these subprocessors, as we do not collect it. For full details on data flows, locations, and safeguards, visit our Sub-processors & DPA Directory.

Zero Remote Asset Storage & Data Retention

We do not operate backend servers that ingest, decompress, or store your personal game assets, mods, or BA2 archives. Your archive processing stays entirely local in your browser session.

Direct contact transmissions sent to ops@f76.world are handled directly in our mail client to answer bug reports and technical questions, without database mining or commercial aggregation.
